Tony Award nominee, Emmy winner, and newly-minted Grammy nominee, Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. She went on to star in Baby, Miss Saigon, The Look of Love, The Three Musketeers, and for five years appeared as Grizabella in Cats. Liz sang the Academy Award-nominated song "Journey to the Past" in the animated feature Anastasia.

What is Concert For America, you may ask? We’ll tell ya! It’s a concert featuring stars from Broadway, TV, film and the recording world, who come together to perform amazing music and stand-up, give people hope and inspire them to help with various aspects of social justice.  Featuring music direction by Michael Orland in Los Angeles and Seth Rudetsky in New York and benefiting the California Community Foundation: Rebuild LA - from Ashes to Action.

Some of the organizations who are joining us are the Sierra Club, A is For, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Southern Poverty Law Center, Spill the Honey and The National Immigration Law Center. We’ll have representatives from each group—telling us how we can help counteract the global warming, anti-Semitism and anti-immigrant policies, as well as combat hate groups, make theater equitable for all and MUCH MORE.

For Liz and Ann's Thanksgiving performance on Thursday, November 28, 54 Below’s regular menu will be replaced by a special prix fixe, which features classic Thanksgiving dishes and other festive favorites. During the height of the pandemic and facing eviction, the community rallied and pulled off a miraculous fundraising effort to save the iconic West Bank Cafe and Laurie Beechman Theatre.  Despite the initial success, WBC was later denied critical government grants like the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) and the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG), leaving them once again on the brink of closure.  But now, we have exciting news: their landlords, Related, are working with them! With a more favorable lease in place, and exciting revitalization plans, if we can raise 1M before the end of the year West Bank Cafe will not only survive, but THRIVE!​
