Liz Callaway is a Tony and Grammy nominee and Emmy Award-winning actress, singer and recording artist. She made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Baby, and for five years, won acclaim as Grizabella in Cats. Off-Broadway she received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in The Spitfire Grill (Playwrights Horizons), and also appeared in Brownstone (Roundabout), No Way to Treat a Lady, Marry Me a Little, and Godspell. Ms. Callaway has also established a major career as a concert and recording artist.  The award-winning Sibling Revelry (created with sister Ann Hampton Callaway) was presented to great acclaim at the Donmar Warehouse in London. Boom!,a celebration of the music of the 60’s and 70’s, also created with her sister, was recorded live at Birdland, and is currently touring performing arts centers around the country. She received an Emmy Award for hosting “Ready to Go”, a daily, live children’s program on CBS in Boston.  Other TV credits include “In Performance at the White House”, “Inside the Actor’s Studio: Stephen Sondheim”, “Christmas with the Boston Pops”, and “The David Letterman Show”. Liz has released eight solo albums. Her latest, To Steve With Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim, was nominated for a 2023 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Her numerous other recordings include Sibling Revelry, A Christmas Story – The Musical, and The Maury Yeston Songbook

 

Joseph Thalken is an award-winning composer, conductor and pianist whose theater and concert works have been performed internationally. His music has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Somerled Charitable Foundation and the Shen Family Foundation. Thalken is the composer of the musicals Harold and Maude, Was, Borrowed Dust, Fall of ’94, and Inventions for Piano. His chamber orchestra ballet, Chasing Home, commissioned by Bruce Wood Dance, is receiving a world-premiere recording  by the Dallas Chamber Symphony, conducted by Richard McKay. He has served as music director and/or arranger for luminaries of Broadway and classical music, including Julie Andrews, Patti LuPone, Bernadette Peters, Renée Fleming, Rebecca Luker, Kristin Chenoweth, Liza Minnelli, Faith Prince, Michael Crawford, and Brian Stokes Mitchell, among many others. He performed with the New York Philharmonic for their 2019 Spring Gala, for which he also wrote several orchestrations.
