Cinnabar Theater’s Annual Broadway Bash Returns with “Hard Hats & High Notes” featuring Broadway Star Liz Callaway

Cinnabar Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director Nathan Cummings and Executive Director Diane Dragone, proudly presents its annual fundraiser, The Broadway Bash: Hard Hats & High Notes, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. This year’s gala, celebrating Cinnabar’s year on the road while building its new venue, will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rohnert Park.

The evening will feature an unforgettable performance by Tony and Grammy nominee Liz Callaway, known for her roles in Broadway’s Cats, Baby, Miss Saigon, and as the singing voice of Anastasia in the animated film of the same name, and Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin sequels.

At Broadway Dream Roles, performers step into the roles they’ve always longed to play — but never have. From legendary icons to future Broadway greats, these artists take the stage in a stripped-down, deeply personal concert. Whether it’s a part they narrowly missed, a role they’ve secretly rehearsed in the shower or a wish never voiced aloud, performers will bring their dream roles to life.

Tony Award nominee, Emmy winner, and newly-minted Grammy nominee, Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. She went on to star in Baby, Miss Saigon, The Look of Love, The Three Musketeers, and for five years appeared as Grizabella in Cats. Liz sang the Academy Award-nominated song "Journey to the Past" in the animated feature Anastasia.

It’s a concert featuring stars from Broadway, TV, film and the recording world, who come together to perform amazing music and stand-up, give people hope and inspire them to help with various aspects of social justice.  Featuring music direction by Michael Orland in Los Angeles and Seth Rudetsky in New York and benefiting the California Community Foundation: Rebuild LA - from Ashes to Action.

Some of the organizations who are joining us are the Sierra Club, A is For, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Southern Poverty Law Center, Spill the Honey and The National Immigration Law Center. We’ll have representatives from each group—telling us how we can help counteract the global warming, anti-Semitism and anti-immigrant policies, as well as combat hate groups, make theater equitable for all and MUCH MORE.

For Liz and Ann's Thanksgiving performance on Thursday, November 28, 54 Below’s regular menu will be replaced by a special prix fixe, which features classic Thanksgiving dishes and other festive favorites. All guests will be charged $90 each for their meals (this pricing does not include beverages or tax & gratuity).
